This plant, thriving in my Aero garden, labeled as Sweet Genovese Basil, is clearly NOT basil. I did a Google plant search, it is spinach of some sort. I know, spinach? It has been washed and is ready to participate in a savory quiche tomorrow. You just never know.
Of course, I am running a bit late today. Not much sewing this week despite my plans. My time has been spent doing garden tasks, celebrating another birthday, and sorting out a bookshelf for donation.
I am sorting and cataloging patterns with the intention of replacing most of my core pieces. I find that I like to wear most of the same items over and over. Like many, I have a significant fabric stash that I can tap into, but I am currently on the search for quality jersey knits. Right now I am sorting my Style Arc patterns. I have gifted some duplicates as well as some purchases that were a bit of an impulse. You know, oh I like that one, I can't see myself in that one, or why did I buy this when I have 2 others that are essentially the same! Fortunately, I have a great person to pass the unused patterns to. I have downloaded an app to my phone that is free for cataloging patterns and fabric stash. So far it is a bit cumbersome I think. The name is Sew Help Me if you are interested.
Friday at the garden center for the flowers and tomato plants. What a fantastic selection. I normally do not shop this early in our season, but I am so glad I did! I met wonderful people, found some unusual species of Coleus, my Summer go-to, and my favorite tomato plants, the Big Girl. My plantings decrease every year. I need to depend on others to plant and prepare for me, but the watering and care falls to me. My raised beds are long gone, torn out by an over zealous grass cutter. But that's another story.
My dear Grand dogs, enjoying their Easter peanut butter filled bones.
