Live Today and Tomorrow Will Take Care of Itself

Good Day Sewing and Stitching Friends. Today I wanted to share a few little tid-bits that may be of interest. I know there are oodles of  sponsored emails and other push ads on social media popping up to tempt us with Black Friday ads. So far I have resisted them all! That is a real effort for me. As a stitcher, sewist, quilter, there is always some new tool or fabric that tempts. I did a bit of a clean out of my cross stitch patterns and fabrics. That was a good thing, never in my lifetime will I be able to use them all, friends may, so off they go. It all started when I realized what a mess this little case was becoming in the last couple weeks.

This sweet pumpkin was a gift from an old friend. Our graduate nursing class friends continue to gather monthly for lunch and a catch up. What a great time we have, memories, current family news, as well as the commentary of getting older. Time flies.

Here we are, Thanksgiving week in the US and the cooking and prep are in full motion. For the last 25 years I go to my son's home, now that he is next door, travel is no longer an issue. I make the pies, always have. He makes an amazing turkey. Our family, friends, and children in college home for the long weekend including their friends, provides such a memorable day. One of my favorite holidays.

That said, I do apologize for the long stretch between posts. I have not been feeling well so very little work in the studio has occurred. Mostly, just in-hand experimenting.on a higher count linen and I am still having issues with tension on my linen. Not ready to give up yet though! In my little box above I have a new pair of Cohanna scissors. In October, 55 years married required a gift. (😍😍) If you are interested just Google Cohanna. There are several online shops that sell them. They are rather pricey but the quality is superb. The fob is from an Etsy seller, Minnie McBean, but that shop is currently closed. She sold her entire inventory. However, my favorite online Needlework Store, Hobby House Needleworks has a large collection of her pieces. HERE. (as always, I receive no compensation from any seller.)

I hope your Holiday is just what you wish. Large or small, our Thanksgiving celebrations in this country symbolize much to be thankful for. We are a free country, we have a precious history that cannot be erased, and every family has blessings real and yet to be discovered. PS: there are no calories in Thanksgiving Day food, it's the left overs that will get you!

I hope to be able to send out a newsletter once a week, hopefully Fridays. Thinking positive here, 😍on to the Tid-Bits!
